Teaching Biography

Jeremy has been Head of Chamber Music at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester since 2015 and a Senior Tutor in Piano for over twenty years. 

 

An internationally recognised teacher and educator, Jeremy has given performance classes at universities in Texas, Connecticut, Chicago and Lancaster in the USA, Yong-Siew Toh Conservatory, Shanghai Conservatory, Hsingchu University in Asia, and at the Sibelius Academy (Finland) and Conservatorio di Verona. 

 

In the UK he is regularly invited to give classes at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Purcell School, Wells Cathedral School, Royal Academy of Music, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Tunnell Trust for Young Musicians. 

He is artistic director for European Chamber Music Academy activities that take place in the UK. 

 

In 2016 he founded the International Young Musicians Academy which has enabled him to embark on teacher training programmes in China as well as running residential piano courses in the UK at Stowe, Rugby and Harrow Schools. 

 

Jeremy has held piano teaching posts at Stowe School, Alleyns School, Wellington College, Bedford School and Lancing College and he currently  teaches piano at Chethams School of Music in Manchester.
